Mental
Health Services provide psychiatric services;
assist people with psychiatric disabilities to develop skills that enable them
to assume an effective role in their community; provide emergency evaluation and
crisis services; deliver intensive services to clients who need more acute
treatment than is ordinarily available at outpatient clinics; and provide
treatment and services for children/adolescents with serious emotional and
behavioral problems, as well as those at risk of removal from the home. Mental
Retardation Services determine eligibility for
service, identify services the client needs and assigns appropriate staff;
provide many services in the client’s own home; give guidance and assistance
in finding an appropriate residential environment; and give training to help
clients prepare for employment and active participation in their community. Early
Childhood Intervention Services provide
assessment, therapy (speech, occupational, physical), home visits, and other
assistance to children up to three years old who have developmental delays or a
medical diagnosis that may cause a child to be behind others his/her age. Services available from Central Plains
